SLOAN instore @ SONIC BOOM + GUITAR WOLF w/ CHEAP TIME, LULLABYE ARKESTRA @ LEE'S PALACE

First up, Sloan celebrated their 20 year anniversary and new record release by playing a few well worn ditties at one of the cities best record stores, Sonic Boom. It was a rainy afternoon with many, many children in attendance. Almost made me feel bad for being middaydrunk.

Next up, Japan's Lock n' Loll monarchs GUITAR WOLF savagely, yet lovingly, reclaimed everyone's eardrums after Cheap Time and our own Lullabye Arkestra did their respective things.

THEY PLAYED FOR OVER 2 HOURS. THERE WERE 3 ENCORES, A HUMAN PYRAMID AND ENOUGH SWEAT TO DROWN IN. PLUS: one dude got to play Guitar Wolf's guitar. Respect.

One of the loudest ( thankfully I've started wearing earplugs to shows) and funnest shows I've seen at Lee's in awhile. I'd LOVE to see Guitar Wolf and the Gories play together. Dudes are about the same age, from the same era, have some of the same moves, not to mention the same fan base...someone make it happen!
