Just found out about this now. Sad to see one of the best music photographers pass into the big flash in the sky, but he left a hell of a legacy here on earth.
He got his start in high school, taught himself for the most part, and is responsible for a few infamous photos including but not limited to:
1: Jimi Hendrix lighting his guitar on fire
2: Johnny Cash giving the finger
3: Janis Joplin loking hot but probably strung out
Dude was a great photographer, and it's probably no surprise that my work is influenced by his.
Bummer.
