What is this? The weekend that Toronto music died? First it was Brutal Knights, then it's Brides? Who's next- don't answer that!
YOUNG MOTHER are the best new band this city has seen in a lo-o-ong time ( best since Brides?) -> ACTUAL WATER make me wish I was tripping out in a moonage daydream where the sky drips paisley and everything smells like dragon's blood incense -> TROPICS can be summed up by mentioning that Simone TB is probably the best drummer in Toronto, and Max brings out all the best qualities in a seizure -> METZ is like that great band from your youth that either A: your older sibling/friend/cousin got you into and you religiously coveted every recording thereafter or B: was played once on some college radio station that doesn't ever say what it's playing ( Brock U) and you died twice trying to find the name -> BRIDES 4 EVER & EVER I remember the house party they played their first show at, without looking through my archives I think it was with Actual Water and Anagram? 64 Augusta?
BRIDES WILL BE MISSED
