Goddamn- I said GODDAMN- I love the Greenhornes. It's been a long long time ( 4 years?) since they played Toronto, and I've seen them in many other cities other than home- it was nice to have a total travel time of less than 30 minutes to see them. Packed show at the (legendary?) horseshoe tavern, and some serious fans who traveled from Peterborough to see the band.
For my money, it all came down to Jack Lawrence singing Go Tell Henry, off the new record "****". Weird, moody, psych-y and heavy all in that order.
Can't wait to see them boys again.
